X-Bows® is a US-registered ergonomic technology brand specializing in split mechanical keyboards. Founded in 2017, we are dedicated to reducing Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) risks through patented layouts that align with the natural physiology of the human wrist.

In 2003, a review article in the Journal of Musculoskeletal Research titled "WORK-RELATED CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME: CURRENT CONCEPTS" caught his attention. He was shocked by a particular statistic he found within its pages: of the more than 8 million Americans affected by Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, a staggering 2 million cases—nearly a quarter—were directly linked to repetitive typing and data entry.
To Dr. Sig Wang, this wasn't just a number; it was a public health crisis hiding in plain sight.
The Problem
Driven by his medical expertise, Dr. Sig Wang dove into the literature, analyzing the biomechanical relationship between typing and CTS.
He concluded that the problem wasn't the user—it was the tool.
The traditional keyboard forces your hands and wrists into unnatural postures, such as bending your wrists outward (ulnar deviation) and overextending your fingers. This position, maintained for hours on end, puts constant strain on the median nerve. He realized that to solve the problem, you couldn't just treat the symptoms; you had to redesign the keyboard from the ground up.
