X-Bows Keyboard Accessories

A wrist rest is not essential for everyone, but it can be a useful addition to an ergonomic keyboard, especially during long typing sessions.

A wrist rest provides a comfortable surface for supporting your palms during pauses between typing. When properly positioned, it may help reduce excessive wrist extension, which occurs when the wrists bend upward.

However, a wrist rest should not be used to press your wrists against a hard surface while typing. Ideally, your hands should move freely over the keys, with your wrists relatively straight and relaxed. If you use a wrist rest, support the base of your palms rather than placing sustained pressure directly on the sensitive underside of your wrists.

X-Bows keyboards feature a radial-columnar layout designed to encourage more natural finger movement and wrist positioning. A wrist rest can complement this design, but it is not required to benefit from the keyboard's layout.

Whether you need one depends on your keyboard height, desk setup, typing habits, and personal comfort. Proper chair and desk height, relaxed hand positioning, and regular breaks are equally important.

For users who prefer additional palm support, X-Bows offers a silicone wrist rest designed to complement its ergonomic keyboards.
