Engineered for Endurance: The Knight Plus Flagship

The X-Bows Knight Plus is more than a keyboard; it is a precision-engineered interface for high-output professionals. By combining a premium aluminum alloy chassis with our patented radial-columnar geometry, the Knight Plus solves the physical friction of long-form typing and data entry.

Magnetic Detachable Numpad

Standard full-sized keyboards force your mouse arm into a wide, straining reach. The Knight Plus numpad can be moved to the left side or removed entirely, allowing your mouse to sit closer to your center for better shoulder alignment.

Radial-Columnar Alignment

Every key is aligned with the natural extension path of your fingers. This removes the "zigzag" motion required by staggered grids, reducing tendon fatigue over an 8-hour workday.

Functional Power with QMK & VIA

Customization is mandatory for a modern workflow. The Knight Plus features open-source QMK and VIA firmware support. This allows you to remap any key, create complex macros, and switch between functional layers (e.g., a "Coding Layer" and a "Media Layer") instantly without installing invasive software.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the magnetic numpad work on the Knight Plus? +
The X-Bows Knight Plus features a detachable magnetic numeric keypad that gives you the flexibility to choose where and when you use it.

Magnetic attachment: The numpad attaches magnetically to either side of the main keyboard, providing a convenient way to change your workstation layout.

Flexible positioning: Attach the numpad on the right for a traditional keyboard arrangement, move it to the left to keep your right-handed mouse closer, or remove it entirely when you don't need numeric input.

21-key layout: The current Knight Plus features a 21-key numpad designed for numeric entry and other frequently used functions.

Independent programming: The numpad is a separate programmable device with its own firmware. You can customize its key assignments, shortcuts, and macros using supported QMK, VIA, or VIAL tools.

This modular design makes the Knight Plus useful for spreadsheet work, accounting, programming, and other tasks that alternate between typing, numeric entry, and mouse use.

For firmware updates and configuration, the main keyboard and numpad must be connected and configured individually.
Why put the numpad on the left side? +
Placing the numeric keypad on the left side of your keyboard can make your workstation more comfortable and efficient, especially if you use a mouse with your right hand.

On a traditional full-size keyboard, the numpad extends the keyboard to the right, often forcing right-handed mouse users to reach farther sideways. Moving the numpad to the left allows the mouse to sit closer to the main typing area, potentially reducing excessive shoulder abduction and unnecessary arm movement.

A left-side numpad also lets you enter numbers with your left hand while keeping your right hand on the mouse. This can be particularly useful for spreadsheets, accounting, CAD applications, and other workflows that involve frequent switching between numeric entry and mouse navigation.

The X-Bows Knight Plus features a detachable magnetic numpad that can be positioned on either the left or right side of the keyboard, or removed entirely when not needed.

Left-side placement is optional rather than universally better. Choose the position that best suits your dominant hand, workflow, desk arrangement, and personal comfort.
Can I program the numpad separately? +
Yes. The detachable magnetic numpad on the X-Bows Knight Plus is a separate programmable device. You can configure its keys independently of the main keyboard using QMK-compatible tools, including VIA and VIAL.

You can remap the numpad's keys, assign shortcuts and macros, or create custom layouts for tasks such as spreadsheet work, programming, video editing, and gaming.

The Knight Plus main keyboard and numpad have separate firmware files. When updating or changing firmware, each device must be connected and flashed individually using the appropriate firmware file and QMK Toolbox.

For configuration instructions, firmware downloads, and supported tools, please refer to the X-Bows Knight Plus Setup Guide.
Did the Knight Plus numpad change in 2026? +
Yes. Earlier versions of the Knight Plus magnetic numpad had 22 keys. The 2026 version has 21 keys, a revision introduced to improve compatibility with standard numpad keycap sets.

The current Knight Plus configuration is an 86-key main keyboard with a 21-key detachable magnetic numpad.

If you own an earlier model, please confirm your numpad version before purchasing replacement components.
